Hi Nic

I've just read your story and wanted to say thank you for sharing it. So much of it rings true for me also, especially as my first panic attack happened when I was alone in my car some miles from home. Not fun at all!

However I was interested in what you put in one of the updates regarding your recurring sore throat as I have this happening. Did you get reassurance from your ENT results?

Hi Chris

Glad you found it interesting to read.

I still have the swallowing problem and that is over 2 years on now - I think I went to the ENT in Feb 2006! It went for a short time when I was off work but has been back ever since and drives me mad.

My mum's friend had hers for many years then one day it just went so I am hoping mine will too.

The only thing the ENT specialist said was that I did have very large tonsils and they could consider taking them out but would prefer not to if possible so I never followed it up.

It does get worse when I am very stressed or upset so I guess it is just related to anxiety.

Aww that's a pity, the last thing you need is a recurring problem. I can again sympathise with you as I have the same, and you are right it's worse when you are stressed. But the bugger is when the soreness/swallowing thing makes you even more stressed!!!!

Had my tonsils out when I was 6! But I've heard they can re-grow!

I am continually grateful to you and everyone else at NMP for helping me through some tough times. Chill and everything will work out good.
