View Full Version : What ever happened to?

As a member of over 5 years you strike up relationships and make friends with other members.
You can end up worrying about them as well as yourself.
But quite often these members just seem to disappear, no warning, reason unknown and sometimes they may just send a private message to one particular person explaining the reason for their absence.
So I thought it might be a good idea to have a thread for those absentee members.

My first member is.....
What happened to Whispershadow?

I worry about Whisper, too. I hope she's found somewhere she can be less afraid.

Excellent idea for thread, Carn.

As far as I know Whisper left the chat room the same time as the posting stopped on the forum.
As long as she is ok.

I think some people just get fed up and move on for various reasons, hopefully for more often than not, good reasons. There comes a limit as to how much help or support you can offer especially when you have significant difficulties of your own. It's probably healthier to do your bit and then carry on with your life away from forums such as NMP?

Carnation

If only members would say that though Pulisa, if you are compassionate then you can only wonder if they are ok, especially If you've been supportive and friendly.
They don't even close their account.
If they say they are taking a break or don't need the crutch of the forum then they should say.
As did Raindrops and Kimberley and many other regular posters.
I worry just as much for others. x

I will miss Lola-Lee. If you are out there and you see this your sense of humour will be greatly missed and remember you are a strong person. Bye biker babe. :hugs::flowers:

Oh no, I didn't know Lola had left. :weep:
BlueIris, I can remedy the cat memes. We used to do that together, although it was started by Noivous.

I know ideally it would be good for "regulars" to say goodbye but it's their decision and they are entitled to do what suits them and maybe they don't want to draw attention to themselves leaving? Perhaps they don't realise what a significant contribution they made?

I always wonder about Ian from Australia. He was on AZ for years then came over here. His name was something "from down under". He was an army vet, and he gave great medication advise. He had lung problems, and I always hope that he didn't succumb to anymore.

The same goes for Buster.

I miss Bigboy as well

I bet Dave would appreciate a friendly message should anyone want to make contact.

Not heard from Matt for ages. I said something about getting back but then disappeared again. I hope all is well.

I've seen her a couple of brief times but she's on much less than before the upgrade from what I can tell.

Buster is around but doesn't seem to be posting. I hope he is ok too.

Terry, Buster comes on to read occasionally and he told me he was taking a break from posting.
I don't want to say anymore than that to protect his privacy.

Nora? Has she left? Anyone know if she is ok?

pulisa
20-02-22, 13:42
Nora has always put heart and soul into trying to help people on here..particularly with heath anxiety. She said she was going to take a break to look after her own wellbeing which I think is very sensible because it's so easy to feel absolutely drained when you try so hard and advice falls on deaf ears. I'm sure she'll be back when the time is right for her to return.

I've been wondering the same about Nora B, as there hasn't been a dickie bird from her on here for ages now, but like you said, she's entitled to a lengthy break if she so wishes, even though I hope she's OK.

There's a couple of others who seemed to have very Trumpite views whom we don't seem to see posting on here very often lately.
