Skin Again

It's time for my yearly skin cancer freakout :(

I was just at the dermatologist a few months ago for my full body exam, they biopsied a mole and I went through some anxiety but it was totally normal. Recently I noticed a new tiny bump on my back/side. It's pink, I thought it was a zit but then it didn't go away. It gets scaly. I was picking it a bit the other day now it looks like it bled a little.

I was supposed to make an appt two weeks ago about it but I was so distracted finding a new apartment to move to. Now I'm back and now I worry that because I waited the two weeks I'm going to die of skin cancer.

I don't think it's melanoma...but then I know I've read about amelatonic melanoma. I'm afraid to Google anything because I'll make myself worse but my imagination is almost as bad as Google!!!

Can anyone talk me down please. At least until I can get an appointment.

Even if it is skin cancer (it probably isn't), what you're describing would sound far more like one of the non-melanoma skin cancers.

If you pick at any part of your skin enough it'll always bleed, though.
