Hi, new to this site and need some support. I am 62 and have suffered nearly all my life from anxiety and catastrophising (as did my mother) but I've got it under control, most of the time, with meditation and CBT.
My 19 year old son has struggled with anxiety since he was 11 (going to secondary school), in the form of not being able to use public toilets, and belly aches. In the last nine months he has started to have intrusive thoughts (no compulsive behaviour) and I have no idea how to help him. He is doing an online course with the NHS, but it's a once a fortnight online consultation, and it's not enough.
Where do I go now? How do I help him?
Thanks in advance
