So worried about Rabies

So this morning I was petting my aunts cat. It seems like a pretty healthy cat (no signs of any rabies) and it seems friendly. While I was petting it, it was purring but then I guess it decided to give me a little love bite. I washed it with soap and stuff for a couple minutes.

I’m really worried it might have rabies since I don’t know much about the cat and it’s surroundings. All the cat does is eat food at this house.

I looked at where it “bit” me and there isn’t an open wound or anything. It’s like a scratch kinda looking thing.

Completely sure. People get bitten and scratched by cats every day, and hospitals aren't full of rabies cases. Besides, if the cat's nippy wouldn't your aunt be dead by now if it was rabid?

If the cat is dead in 10 days or severely sick then get the shots. Your fine though.
