One side of lip swollen for 2.5 months

Has anyone had this before? One side of my top lip has felt half numb and a bit swollen for 2.5 months. In the mirror, I can see that that part of my lip is 1-2mm larger than the other side. A doctor wouldn't take it seriously, but I know that this is not normal for me. Also, the half-numbness is constantly there and uncomfortable. I'd like to know if anyone else has had this, or has heard about it before. Thanks.

This is ongoing, and the swelling now stretches across the inside of my whole upper lip. Has anyone had anything like this before?

Update: I've noticed bumps inside my lips when they're swollen like this, and I'm concerned about enlarged glands indicating lymphoma or something similar. The swelling comes and goes in waves, but each time it comes it sticks around longer. Does anyone else have a similar experience?
