How to believe GP?

Did there used to be a thread or a sticky about accepting and believing what the doctors tell us? I cannot find it and I really need it right now!
I’m really struggling right now. I’m sure I have a REAL, visible symptom of a cancer (I won’t say which cos I don’t want my thread to get moved. This isn’t a post about my symptom, but about accepting the GPs opinion)
But my GP says she isn’t worried, and I cannot have a referal to get it checked.
How do I move on? I’ve been in non stop panic mode for a week now. I don’t seem to be able to rationalise and move on from this symptom!

I could use this thread myself! I struggle with this all the time and causes me much misery. Would love to learn how to get over this. If you do find this thread, can you let me know or post here? Thank you.
