I have finally accepted that I have anxiety. I am going to always be susceptible to stress. I am not going to fight it anymore. No more telling myself to chill out. Ill still do my relaxation stuff. Ill still go swimming and go for walks and Ill still write down my negative thoughts and replace them with rational ones. I think this is best. :)

I agree - when I accepted it then that was the start of me recovering. And it helps me deal with panic attacks much better.

hi matt
i found acceptance is the first step in conquering anxiety. once i acceppted that i had this dissorder its seems that everything else falls into place. i mean i still have my good days and bad days. but the good days are becoming more and more frequent. good for you. you have a positive attitude.

You know, you've got a very good point. I think if you accept you have anxiety and put up with it, even the panic attacks and depression, it shows you're more likely to recover because you don't think of it as such a big deal. And is you don't think of it as such a big deal, you're more likely to forget about feeling like this and feel more normal again.

I've accepted anxiety and the panic I get, and just think of it being a small rough patch in my life. It's like God put me through this so I could get use to it and then become a much better, calmer and stronger person afterwards as I would have had much expereince of anxiety and panic.
