Lymph node that fluctuates in size??

For those who are obsessed with lymph nodes, do you ever feel as though your node(s) change size day by day? One day I'll feel the node behind my ear and can barely feel it but the next day it feels more prominent. Then the next I can barely feel it. I am always gentle with it and never prod or poke it, so I doubt the reason can be that. I was just wondering if this happens to anyone else or if it's just "me". By the way, the change is size is rather subtle, it's not like it goes from pea-size to golf ball-size every other day.

Lymph nodes don't like being poked and prodded. They will swell the more you annoy them - particularly if this is a daily occurence (and I suspect in those that obsess over them, it's probably a case of multiple times per day).

I think I've said on here before that my first ever fear was HIV way back in 2011, before I'd joined the forums. Swollen nodes is a common sign in HIV infected persons. I then was dating a medical student a while later who said that if my nodes were swollen, I'd know it. I didn't believe him.

Nevertheless, I came down with strep throat sometime later. My nodes were swollen and I did know it! There's no mistaking it.
