Allergic reaction

I'm worried that I have a cat allergy. I got scratched earlier and now I'm panicking that my neck is getting swollen. I'm not having a good week at all.

Has anyone had any allergic reaction experience and could offer any advice.

If you actually having a serious reaction, your throat would swell, not your neck. You also may itch or cough. I have had serious reactions before such ad throat swelling. Believe me, all you have is a scratch.

Cat scratches swell a little, it’s normal. Keep it clean and I’m sure it will heal just fine, I’ve done some volunteer work at a cat shelter many moons ago and we had some guests that weren’t keen on people or pen cleaning. On top of that I have a two year old cat myself who’s been a little claw happy with me, especially as a kitten.
