I can see a sparkly like half Circle in my left peripheral vision. What could this be. It just started today and is there when i close my eyes too. My vision is normal. Could this be PVD. Which i have had in this same eye before, seeing flashes when i quickly turn my eye. I am very nervous . Has anyone had anything like this before?

May be a few things...migraine, PVD or retinal detachment. Suggest seeing an optician who can very quickly check it, and if needed dilate your eyes and check it all over to give you reassurance

When I had PVD I could see a sparkling question mark, it was weird but the eye hospital assured me it would clear when its was over, which it did but said I was right to have it checked.

Thanks for your replies. It went away fairly quickly after i posted. I have appt with eye doctor this month. I will check sooner if it happens again.

Great I’m sure it will al be something very minor. If you are worried I would recommend Specsavers or boots etc, as when I had a similar concern they saw me a few hours later and had a good check. They can then refer onwards if they have any concerns
