Stitches and sepsis

Hey all!

Really struggling tonight with anxiety about sepsis ( the new trend in the dreaded papers of scaring people) anyway I had my first ever stitches the other day on my hand from cutting an avocado ( I’m an idiot) anyway around it not is slightly purple and red and I’m so scared of Getting any infection so I was wondering if anyone has had any experience for etc with stitches

Of course the tissue's going to be a funny colour, it was traumatized. If it's not hot and swollen, chances are that nothing's wrong.
