Scared it could be something more??

So I’m pretty sure I have the common cold right now for the past day. The symptoms I have experiencing are not new to me when I get colds (Headache, Congestion, runny nose, malaise, and cough).
However, I’m afraid that I might have something more because a small part on my neck started to hurt. I’m scared if it’s swollen lymph nodes. Do these occur in common colds? Can it be something worse? I’m really worried now because I never had this before, thank you so much.

I know from experience that common colds can definitely cause lymph nodes to swell. Get lots of rest and drink tons of fluids. You’re in the US - if you have a Walgreens or aCVS nearby I highly recommend Echinacea tea. It’s got immune boosters in it. Whenever I start to feel a cold coming on I’ll drink 2-3 cups a day, hot - really shortens the life of the illness and helps lessen the symptoms. Feel better!!
