Noticed a few ads advertising Cranial electrotherapy stimulation (CES). Basically little machines that you connect to your head and the machine transmits a small electrical pulse...

Several claim to have clinical trial studies proving their effectiveness.

Machines cost over £500 :-/ (alpha stim / Fisher Wallace Stimulator)

Anyone used them on here?

DIY Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation?

Sounds very dodgy

I found a link where the NHS are starting to use it in trials. Not in my area though

I don't really trust anything that messes with my brain like that. Science admits it barely understands the brain so I wouldn't be too inclined to start probing pulses, or shocks, to the brain.

Shock therapy is apparently still done today, although nobody really knows how or why it works. Fk that.
