FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND

One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along the beach
with the Lord.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.

For each scene,
he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand.
One belonged to him, and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed
that many times along the path of his life,
there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened
at the very lowest
and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him
and he questioned the Lord about it.:
"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during
the most troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when I needed you the most
you would leave me."

The Lord replied,
"My precious, precious child,
I love you and would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then I carried you."

Thank-you all for your thoughts and prayers and kind words. It was the worst day of my life yesturday.:weep: I was wondering how i was going to get threw 2 funerals, not knowing that i was going to have so many other problems also.... I missed half of my grandma's funeral because my car broke down on the road and it was just me and my daughter in the car ....hubby couldn't get off work to go, :weep: everyones number i had in my cell phone was there cell number and everyone had there phones shut off cause they were already at the funeral, so i couldn't reach anyone,:weep: so i walked to a near by doctors office to look up the number of the funeral home so i could get someone to come and get us. So finally we got there to find my 2 brothers DRUNK !!!:mad: i was soooo mad at them cause i had already told them they better not come to the funeral drunk or even with booze on there breath:mad: But anyway i feel that i didn't properly get to say my good byes to my grandma.:weep: I am sure my grandma is resting in peace. Ok thanks for listening to me vent about my worst day.
