Hi, I have a sickness phobia. I have just joined this forum and I am looking for anyone who understands my problem.
Both of my children have had stomach bugs this week and now I can't think of anything else other than I might get it. I haven't even cuddled them due to fear. Anyone in the same situation?:weep:

Hi and welcome.

I had emetophobia for many many years. I still won't put myself into sick situations, but i am no where near as scared as i use to be.

I'm sure you'll get lots of good advice and support here :)

Wow, thank you for the quick response. So good to know someone else feels the same. My husband and friends think I am ridiculous to fear such a thing. I probably won't eat or sleep for a week worrying about it. I've cooked a lovely Chilli con Carne tonight and I know I won't be able to eat it. I sometimes feel I would love to keep the kids off school forever to avoid these bugs.

I feel better already now I know there are people out there in the same situation.

Thank you.
