Hypochondria is the terms used for health anxiety. They are synonymous. Hypochondria or health anxiety as it is referred to nowadays is anxiety over one's health.

My councillor says that health anxiety is general anxiety but the sufferer focuses that anxiety on their health. Basically learn how to deal with anxiety in general and the health anxiety goes. I have been working on cbt as well as relaxation techniques
