Hello, all.
I am a 75 yo in reasonable health.
I am a Carer for a 73 yo lady with significant mobility problems.
I need to have access to a local supermarket, Tesco et. al., for food and essential supplies both for myself and the lady.
No supermarket has home delivery slots available.

OK, my problem. My small car has died so I cannot travel. Local buses are non existent.

Can I buy another car locally hopefully and travel to collect it?

That definitely sounds like essential travel to me, yes. It might be worth contacting Sainsburys, though, given your age and carer role - I know they're reserving slots for people who really need them.

I'd definitely contact their customer services and explain your circumstances.

Not possible by phone it seems so I went Facebook. Have to register with gov.uk first.
Will take some time, so I'll look for wheels.
Many thanks for your suggestions and comments.

If I get locked up driving a vehicle back home you will visit? :D
