Picked a stubborn spot, could it be SC?

I had a stubborn dry skin spot on my chest. I occasionally get the odd spot here but this was mostly hard dry skin. No freckle or mole and was tiny. I picked it off today and it was just dry skin in colour and texture. Any chance it could be/have been a melanoma?

OK it feels a little sore now sure I can feel a bump underneath where it was.
