Hi!
I’m hoping for some reassurance. I recently went to the doctor for my annual well-check and the doctor ran some routine bloodwork. It came back showing low iron and hemoglobin so she put me on an iron supplement. I went for some follow up labs (45 days later) and My iron was wayyy higher than it was, but my hemoglobin is lower. So the doctor said that I am still anemic and we need to find out why. I have a colonoscopy scheduled next month and now I’m terrified of having colon cancer and that’s why I could be anemic. I’m 48 and in really good shape otherwise. I exercise every day and I haven’t had dramatic weight loss that would be concerning. Thanks for any advice or encouragement!
