hi becca
god i'm experiencing exactly the same thing, and often about my loved ones, like what if i hurt them etc, when i know that would NEVER happen. It's really horrible and upsets me so much, espec the images you get with them.
i'd love to know if anyone has any top tips.

I get these a lot, I'm not very good at blocking them out as they usuallly take over my mind.

There has been the odd occasion where I just distract myself with something else and I forget what thought I had started thinking about but then I have to make sure I don't try and make myself remember what I was about to think of (which is what I do a lot).

Have you tried CBT?

in calmer moments i try and laugh it off too as it is sooo ridiculous i don't have a violent bone in my body, but when i'm with my little nephews and i think what if i just threw them down the stairs or smth is soo soo heartbreaking and can't understand why my mind is tortoring me like this.
