What is going on with my finger?

Hello everyone,

So this seems to happen once a year or so but I have noticed one of my fingers (middle one) seems to have slightly swollen up around the nail and is tender to touch.

I have attached a picture. It is not gross I promise.

what is this? An ingrown nail? I recently clipped my nails so I don’t know if that has anything to do with it.

EDIT: It may look mild but it is quite tender.

It looks a bit like mine from using hand sanitiser I have Dermatitis on my fingers and hands.

I get something similar from time to time, and boy it can be quite sore :ohmy:
I don't know what causes it but it always goes away after a few days.........

I’ve always gotten this around the nail bed too. Happens more frequently for me, sorts itself out over a few days but it definitely makes you aware of everything that comes into contact with it for sure!
