I just can't seem to get rid of unwanted thoughts.

As soon as someone mentions about someone dying and how they died, thoughts start and I can't seem to get rid of them and when I do get a niggling pain in chest, head or really anywhere in the body I go into panic mode thinking that "this is it."

I am in just constant worry.

Please help : (

I know what you mean. The anxiety part just kicks in and won't give you a break from the negative thoughts. Try to relax and just go with it. Eventually it will get better.

Take care

Hi Deb,

You will find your not alone on this hun, I had many unwanted thoughts, some of them I am ashamed to mention.

We all have emotions when we hear of people dying, its our body and minds natral response. The feeling we feel are all natral, but when you suffer anxiety this response it taken a little further and may trigger the fligt, fight respons, this is all done by our thought pattens.

You say you worry alot, Hun, its dame hard learning not to worry, but you have to try change those negative thoughts.

I used the word, STOP, when these type of negative thoughts came in. I would picture a lollypop man with his stop sign. I would try dame hard to take the thoughts away from how I was feeling, use reasuring thoughts, eg, I am fine, its just anxiety kicking in, there nothing wrong with me. I would reasure myself it was ok to have some feeling on this subject, eg, I feel saddend by what has happened to this person.

In no way is it easy changing the way we think, but with time and support, writing your feeling down, trying dame hard to change the negative thoughts to more reasuring one's, your nagging negative thoughts WILL pass. Keep trying, trying, trying, to replace them with more positive reasuring thoughts.

These are some links which will help..
