I have done far to much reading on moles and what is normal and what is not. I have noticed that i have quite a few small moles with pretty jagged edges. I was just wondering how many of you have moles that are not circular? Is it as bad as Doctor Google Makes it sounds. Or is it reasonably common. None of the moles are large

I went down the mole rabbit hole a few years ago.
I had a mole on my leg, which I eventually had removed.
It was quite large, definitely not circular, had jagged edges and was multi coloured. It started to frighten the life out of me because I consulted Dr Google  (I don't talk to him anymore btw)
So I had the mole removed, prepared myself for the diagnosis and was then told after I had a biopsy done that it was nothing. Just a large, funny shape, funny colour mole.

I just went to the skin cancer specialist this week because I found a tiny spot on my thigh that was slightly raised and had jagged edges. He took one look and said it's a blood vessel. I felt like a bit of an idiot, but better safe than sorry.

Over the past 10 years I've had many, many weird looking spots of all shapes, sizes and colours checked. They've never been anything sinister, but the only way to know is for a doctor to look at them.

Get your moles checked when you can. More than likely they are nothing and if the doctor says so, try to believe them.

Moles can also change and grow and be benign also, have had a couple of these removed over the years but good to get them checked :)
