View Full Version : Tickling below Adam's apple

For the past 5 days I've been having tickling in the throat I guess, somewhere below Adam's apple. I am not coughing really, maybe once a day, so the tickling is not as strong to make me cough. I don't cough during the night, no shortness of breath or anything else.

Don't ask me why, I am a hypochondriac, but the first thought was lung cancer obviously. I am 36, I have smoked maybe 40 cigarettes in my life, so not a smoker, but, as Google says, while uncommon, lung cancer in young adults who do not smoke is possible.

It is not allergy as antihistamines are not helping, not acid reflux as I have tried meds for that as well. I don't have post nasal drip.

Can anxiety do this?

Anyone had something similar.

Sometimes low level allergies can do this and sometimes a particular antihistamine may not work. It is the time for allergies in the Northern Hemisphere. Anxiety can cause muscle tightness, which may be causing your throat tickling.
