I just don't feel good mentally, I'm not depressed, I just feel dumb.

Be kind to yourself, we've all had out lives turned upside down lately. I think we all feel like this sometimes.

Yes, it will, if you try to stop engaging in self-destructive behaviours. I have a lot of experience with anxiety (generalised, panic attacks and health anxiety) and I've found that "fake it til you make it" is a great strategy when it comes to finding contentment.

Neither does being unkind to yourself, in fact that will definitely do far more harm than taking the time to be kind to yourself and work on what you need to. I’ve experienced feeling ‘dumb’ or just that my mind wasn’t working quickly enough like it used to. To be honest it makes sense that it wasn’t what with it being so completely occupied with anxiety, worries and stress it really doesn’t leave any room for anything else.
