I don’t know how much more I can take of this, I have been suffering from Eye strain, headaches, head pains, aches and pains around eyes for over two weeks now. I am constantly worrying that I have a brain tumour, I can’t relax and feel like I’m going to panic attacks all the time. Is it all anxiety? I don’t know how to cope anymore. I don’t even know if a lot of the pains are real. Am I going crazy? Am I dying? I just don’t know what to do anymore?

Hi Louise

I have a very similar thing, I have been to my docs a couple of times and in addition to an optician. 3 months later it still goes on but it depends on my limite of anxiety.

Go to your doctors if you are worried, talk to them and don't let them fob byou off until YOU are satisfied with your treatment. Try and take a stap back and relax. I need to, to be honest because some days I think I am going nuts.

Take care,
Jane

I get this. So know how anx u must be feeling

It started when I was 18 - was convinced I was gonna die of a brain tumour.
I had tests, x-rays and all they said was maybe it Sinus stuff!!!!!!

I still get it now and yeah I panic when it lasts a few days, its not nice :hugs:

I am 28 now so been goin on a while but my doc says its probably stress or anxiety that causes it.

One thing that does help a bit is that forehead stick thing u can buy, it temporarily works for me - worth a try!

Also my hub massages my hands and for some reason that helps a bit too

Hope u are feeling better soon xxxxxx

I know this is an old thread, but I found it via the search. I've found that my eye strain is related to my panic attacks and one of reasons why I was getting eye strain (http://www.eye-strain.org/) in the first place was due to my work station being set up incorrectly.

I also do a few eye exercises (http://www.eye-strain.org/eye-exercises/) like this and it helped A LOT.

Hold your thumb six inches (15 centimeters) from your nose.
Use your eyes to focus on the tip of your thumb.
Take one or two deep breaths and exhale slowly.
Focus on any object approximately 10 feet (3 meters) away.
Take another one or two deep breaths and slowly exhale.
Repeat the above steps 10-20 times.

Anyways, hope this helps the other eye strain sufferers!
