hard lump

So was getting my 6 year old son dressed and as I lifted his top down felt a hard bump on his ribs. It just feels like bone! Initially I thought it was the end of his rib cage but I can feel that further down.
Me and his dad have never noticed it before. I'd say its on the 9th/10th rib. Hes not bashed it, that I am aware of and hes saying he hasnt.

Im convinced its cancer - as its so hard! And feels like bone. Ive called 111 and theyve said book an appointment with my gp but I cant concentrate on anything but thinking he has cancer.

Aww! I’m sure it’s just a part of the rib you’re feeling! It could be a lipoma too since those are common on the ribs. Get it checked but I’m sure it’s nothing :)

Seen gp and its his rib - just asymmetrical. Its probably been there forever and I've never noticed it! Said to only come back if it grows, which he's certain it wont.

My mind just went 0 to 100 and thought of worst case scenario

I would also book a GP appointment for yourself for your anxiety, if you are already not getting treated for it!
