Hi Jane,
Could it be heartburn?

Hi,
Its not really just around my stomach/ oesophagus area. Its like I have a tight belt under my ribs and as I get more anxious it gets worse. Sometimes, the pain is so bad. I feel like it could be my diaphragm as I find it hard to get a deep breath as it feels so restricted, but it also causes really bad upper abdo bloat by the end of the day. Could this all be anxiety?

Anyone else experienced this?
Thanks xx

I don’t know what you mean by under your ribs, is it down by your tummy or up sort of by your bra line?

Its mostly where my bra line would be. Sometimes it moves down a bit too where my stomach would be. Like a very tight muscle that makes it hard to sit down as my ribs feel as if they are poking into something. When its really bad I feel like I can't get a good deep breath.

Thanks xx

And does it get better if you take your bra off?
Those are exactly my heartburn symptoms.

Hi
I find it hard to wear a bra because it seems to restrict me even more. Does your tightness extend across the whole of that area where the diaphragm sits? Is this caused by anxiety do you think?

Thank you so much for chatting with me x

Jane sorry but know one can tell you 100% if its anxiety but it sounds like it, l have this in my chest as l said before and its caused because
our bodies are tensed up because of anxiety

you need to get it checked out if it persists, but l would imagine its stress related xx

best wishes xx

Hi Jane

I've had this - feels like my bra is too tight. And the same with trying to get a good breath. It passed - though won't be surprised to see it back again. Seems to be the nature of the beast. At the moment - I have quite bad GERD and some nasty random pains in the right side of my abdomen. But as I say - that's this month's issue.....

Yes, I think it’s a couple of things. Heartburn due to anxiety and bad breathing methods due to anxiety.
