So, I got the mierna coil put in during May. The last two periods since that were the same, a little heavier and more painful then my normal period thwg just seemed to last a lil longer.

For th last two months, I got my period on the same date as I've always gotten my period since I started getting my period. Was wondering if anyone had anything like that a few months after getting the coil in? It putting off your normal cyple off by alot of time (currently ten days but we know proof it isn't pregnancy but it's still taken me back supirse

I did reach out to my GP during the week to ask
her but she's not back in the office till October- and the other gp said me he doesn't deal with "woman's issues" so I guess I might have to wait on to hear back from her :/

Just thought I'd ask about this, I'm already exhausted myself and this is adding to i e

Yes the coil does alter cycles, eventually you may find you have no bleeds at all, or they may be very light and random.

Some people find that they bleed longer and heavier to start with, in general the advice seems to be allow yourself 6 months- a year for the body to adjust to the hormones.

I personally don’t bleed on birth control (I had a run with the coil last year) I wouldn’t even be able to tell you how many days is a normal cycle for me because I’ve been on birth control for so long! I may randomly spot a couple times a year for a couple days but that’s it.
