Hi,

I am 31 years old and have had health anxiety for the best part of a decade.

I always think about the worst case scenario but this time I’m very concerned.

I am overweight but her recently lost almost 3 stone, I still have a few stone to lose.

Recently I have been having a weird sensation in my lower left leg - it feels like it is numb but I can feel it when I touch it etc so it does have feeling in it. It just sort of feels, there?

Now I have noticed that the joints of my toes on that foot look red. It isn’t extremely noticeable but it’s definitely there - I’m very pale so things show up easily.

Now I’ve just read that you can get gangrene in your foot which is caused by diabetes. Symptoms of this include numbness and discolouration.

This has sent me into a complete panic & I now think that the circulation to my foot is going and that I’m going to end up losing it.

I don’t have an extreme thirst, don’t urinate frequently unless I’m drinking a lot of water and have only lost weight intentionally. I have never been tested for diabetes.

Is it possible that it could have been underlying without me being aware?

Normally I have my health worries relatively under control but this time I’m really struggling because of whet I read.

Any advice would be great.
Thank you

The only anxiety symptom you need to worry about is reading about things that can kill you.

If you don't read it, you won't worry about it.

If you have a real symptom that's bad enough for you to really need an answer, see a Doctor.
