Hi everyone,
I’m not new here, I have been on for a while but this is my first post.
For 4 months I’ve been having intermittent sore throat and feeling of something being lodged. This has eventually progressed into problems swallowing, I get food stuck, but more at the back of my mouth, behind the tonsil area, I have to wash it down with water as I can feel particles not going down. Now I seem to have either a very dry mouth, or other days so much saliva and mucus I have to swallow every few minutes and it still seems to come back moments later. Dr has referred me to ENT but this is a long wait due to covid. I do suffer from acid reflux and am being told it’s likely that, but obviously google suggests that ‘high dysphagia’ as in food catching higher up the throat/back of mouth, is more likely neurological. So I’ve been in a very large hole for the last few weeks & had panic attacks every morning. I’d just like some comfort that maybe others have experienced this? Whilst I wait for an ENT. All I can find is people who suffer with globus symptoms.
Thankyou for reading 🙂
