Strange feeling in rectum

Hi

For the last few weeks, i have had a strange feeling in my rectum/ anus. It feels like some pressure or fullness like there is something there. I'm worried about it and keep thinking it might be a tumour, I'm trying not to go to the doctor as I suffer from health anxiety and am worried that maybe me worrying about it all the time is causing it to be there. The only other symptom I have is a pain in lower back right above my bum when i move from standing to sitting or vice versa or when I sit on a hard chair or seat. So in my head I'm adding the two things and coming up with bowel cancer. I dont have bleeding or problems going to the toilet.

Has anyone else had anything similar and know the best way to deal with it?

Hi I've had that feeling inside which is sometimes proctitis or hemorrhoids but not the lower right back pain at the same time. I'd suggest taking a stool softener like Coloxyl and try drinking some slippery elm powder in warm water (which coats the mucus membranes of the intestines etc and increase your water intake.

If it continues then a visit to your Dr would be in order.

Thanks for reply. Can you get hemaroids (sp) without bleeding so you know?

Yep you can especially if they are internal.
