I've been very up and down lately, trying out a few medications to help with anxiety. Going back to the doctor this morning to discuss it with her.
But for the last day or two the left side of my tongue has been sore. Just a little bit but enough to make me spiral. And when I had a look this morning there is a small white patch there.
The reason I'm panicking so much about this is because I heard of someone who got tongue cancer and she was only 46 years old. It scared me to the core to be honest when I found out.
I haven't googled the white patch but I think I remember reading a few years back that a white patch can be a sign of cancer. Is this true?
I'm not in a good place right now, and disappointed that my meds aren't doing much for me :(

If it was sore first, there's every chance that you've just bitten it.

I don't know how long the white patch has been there. It got sore a few days ago but I only looked at it this morning.
I'm sure my tongue has been sore like this in the past, but finding out about the woman who got tongue cancer is going around in my head all the time. She was so young and I really can't get my head around it.
I'm going to see my doctor later this morning so no doubt I'll ask her to have a look at it. And I have a feeling she will change my medication because at this stage what I'm on isn't doing anything for me....
