Diabetes fear Type 1

So yesterday night pretty late I went out to eat with a friend around 10:30pm. I suddenly felt very thirsty had a glass of water and some Coke. Emptied my bladder as usual before bed. Around 3 or 4am I woke and had the urge to go pee, which never usually happens. No more thirst episodes though. I would say in the past 24 hours I’ve been to the loo around 6 times maybe 7.

I’m worried about Type 1 diabetes as my sister has it - she was diagnosed when she was 15. I’ve had many blood tests over the years and sugar levels have always been fine, last checked at work (health check) 6 months ago.

I really don't think just one night like that means diabetes to be fair.

Thanks, the rational part of my mind says the same but the irrational part... you know the rest.

So I haven’t been going to the toilet at night, that was a one off. Thirst levels seem to be normal. But this past week my mouth and lips have been drier than normal. And here we go again, fear has kicked back in.
