My 12 year old daughter mentioned a few weeks ago that her gums were bleeding when she brushed her teeth. I told her it happens to everyone from time to time and it's nothing to worry about. I didn't think any more of it until tonight when she came into me after brushing her teeth and said there was blood when she brushed them.
I'm not sure what to do here. As usual my mind is racing and I'm worried it's a sign of something serious. Should I get her checked out? I don't know what could cause bleeding gums in a 12 year old and I'm feeling really scared about it right now.
Any advice or opinions what it could be or what I should do?
