Since yesterday my mom feels really dizzy, but only when laying down.. when she's seated or standing she feels okay.
She get's panicky so she doesn't want to lay down flat, only upright with a few pillows under her head so she doesn't feel dizzy

We're on holiday in Portugal now so really difficult to go to the hospital and she doesn't want to go.
I'm worried  has anyone else had something similar were you feel dizzy but ONLY when laying down flat?? please help...

I have vertigo and often feel dizzy when I'm lying down - especially if I roll off my pillows and I'm lying flat.

It's most likely something like this, but if it's new for your mum, it's common sense to have a doc look her over.

She's feeling better today, but still dizzy only when laying down flat. With a few pillows behind her back she feels better..

Yep, I had it like a month ago. I assumed it was something going on with my ears since it was only when I was laying down. It sometimes comes back.

Hi,
sounds like benign positional vertigo. I have that, it comes and goes. Dizzy when laying down/turning in bed. All fine when standing/sitting. Totally harmless, but annoying. Can go for some time, even months, then disappears, then suddenly comes back.
Doctors can check it out by maneuvring body in certain way. My mom has it too.
Good luck to your mom.
