I hope some one can help me :weep:

Im sure i have a brain tumour. I have had some odd symptoms in the past couple weeks which have included random numb feelings in my right arm and leg which my doctor put down to a trapped nerve and have since gone

For the past week or so i have been getting a numb patch on the right side of my face all around my eye and side of my nose and i also got an eye infection. The infection is gone now.
On tuesday night i got a headache right in the back of my head but it went by the time i woke up next day and same thing happened on wednesday night.

On friday i started with a headache on the front of my head which was making me feel sick it lasted all day and i still had it when i woke yesterday but it got worse as the day went on like stabbing pain into the back of my head and sort of goes round my head to my forehead and i felt so sick all day.
I've woken up this morning and it is still here although not so much nausea this time. But all the back of my neck is agony and both my arms hurt like mad but i havent done anything to hurt them. I am terrified i have a brain tumour.

I saw the doctor on thursday who looked in my eyes and did the other basic neuro tests and everything was fine - this was mainly about my numb face the headache wasn't so bad then and he said he was sure it was not caused by anything remotly sinister.

My numb face has gone now the headache is here.

Im so scared i keep telling my mum and boyfriend but they aren't worried at all
I dont know if i should see the out of hours doctor
Im meant to be going to a family meal today arghh its gonna be awful

Sorry for such a long post

Hello !
This worry is a big deal to you. You must go back to your GP and say that you do not feel reassured - ask if you can be referred - you need to get some peace of mind. Life's too short to spend half of it worrying about something unnecessarily
Be kind to yourself

Hi..

I have been to see a specialist about my headaches thinking they were something more serious and i was told one thing that i have remembered since. IF you can go to sleep and the pain doesn't disturb you then you're pretty much fine. Of course if you have a sinus infection or the flu or something like that then okay, you'll probably wake up anyway, but for me, i would have headaches for weeks and weeks on end. I would wake up with one, go to bed with one....but there's only been a couple of times when its actually either kept me awake or woken me up.

Hope this helps.

If you are concerned, go back and tell the doctor you are worried...

Thankyou for replying.
I have been worried over this all day. At one point it was like a pressure in my forehead but most of the time it is real painful in the back of my neck/bottom of my head and my shoulders and arms ache
I rang the out of hour doctors and he said it was tension - he didnt even want me to go to see him
I have been pretty miserable but i had a quick game of badminton with my boyfriend (surely i couldnt do that if i had a tumour??) and been doing 'mentally challenging things' trying to prove my brain is working ok...
Im still worrying though :weep:
Both my mum and boyfriend offered to take me to a+e if i wanted, not that they were worried, just for my reassurance but i didnt want to be a nuisance and waste their time...

Hello

I hope your feeling better. I just wanted to let you know that I have had a lot of these symptons too and I after I consulted both a physiotherapist and a chiropractor about my back aches, I found out that my leg pain and headaches/pains were all linked to the tension in my back and shoulders that was being caused by my anxiety. After I had some treatments, the leg pain and headaches stopped. If I get a headache now it's usually tension/anxiety related so I don't panic as much as I recognise the kind of pain it is.
See your doc again to get reassurance and if your still worried maybe you could try a massage/physio to see if that relieves some of your symptons too. Just an idea. :)
Take care

could be a rare type of migraine , it can cause lots of different symptoms, some of which you mentioned.

Hi, i also have had similiar symptoms when i have migraines.
I get numbness in one side of my face and also tingling in fingers.
and like you the numbness goes when the headache comes. I always feel really sick from the pain and also for days after i still get head and neck pains which leave me feeling really washed out.
It could be that you are suffering from a type of migraine.
It might be worth going back to doctor as there are tablets that can help if it is.
best wishes
