View Full Version : Headache throbs when standing

I’ve had occasional mild headaches all my life. Lately, when I have headaches, they don’t hurt much when I’m sitting, but when I stand up my left temple throbs badly for a few seconds. Then it just goes back to a dull, sometimes barely noticeable headache. I’m concerned why standing up triggers bad throbbing, and always in the same spot. Of course I’ve Googled and have some upsetting theories. Anyone else experience this? I will tell my doc when I see her in January. In the meantime, it’s hard not to fret.

Thank you. I did a search before I posted but didn’t find much regarding headaches triggered by standing. I think there was one that came up from a few years ago. Thanks again.
