Pain in front/right neck

Hi. I have pain starting just below my ear on the right hand side down to the bottom of my neck. It’s not badly painful however it does hurt. It’s not always there - sometimes on movement and sometimes it just comes on its own.

I’ve been to the GP who poked and prodded and checked my neck and head. He said everything feels ok. No weight loss no problems swallowing. He can’t feel any lumps etc. He made me swallow with my head tilted back and said all looked good. I left feeling pretty reassured.

When I got home I swallowed with my head titled back and the pain came. I’d did this a few times and it hurt. Then it stopped hurting when I did it. This didn’t happen while I was with the GP

Totally freaking out now and can’t seem to shake the fear that I have a tumour ☹️ Xxx

I’m hoping so. Could get it if The pain came just with movement but it’s just happening anyway 🤷*♀️ Wish I could just believe the GP 😒 x

Maybe try a hot pack or heating pad over the area? That seems to help me when I have any kind of muscular strain.
