Hi! I went for a walk a few nights ago and when I got back noticed this on my Achilles tendon. At first I was sure it was just a friction burn (because I was wearing an older pair of boots) but then I remembered an old reddit thread on rabies bites and started panicking. It kept me up for a lot of the first night and now I'm getting really anxious over it again. It's a terrifying disease and I can't shake the thought that a bat bit me even though it was on the Achilles tendon (which was covered by the boots), it is the middle of winter, and I was wearing long jeans. We have a physician in the family and I showed him. Despite him saying it was probably not a bite I'm still freaking out. I'll post some pictures of it over the past few days below.
