Hi all
So, I was just lying on my back, looking at my phone when I noticed every time I swallow, my throat tendons almost ping/click/twang, (audibly to me) but only when my head is bent slightly forward.

For example, when my neck is straight and I swallow, it feels smooth and there's no "click".

But if my head is tilted downwards towards my chest at all, when I swallow, it feels like the tendons or cartilage in my neck kinda rubs together making an uncomfortable clicking feeling.

Anyone else get this? I'm hoping it's totally normal!

TIA.

Look at the bottom of the page for similar threads or search for "Clicking throat". Loads of posts about it.

This is mostly perfectly normal, don’t worry. I’ve had this a few times in the past and whilst it’s a bit weird it just goes away. It’s similar to the times when i do a random swallow and my throat really hurts. Then the next time you swallow it’s perfectly normal and never comes back. I’m convinced it’s muscular. Being an HA sufferer you come to realise just how much the muscles/tension can do!
