The past week ive developed a strong salty taste in my mouth that isn't going away, ive never experienced this before and its triggered my HA terribly.

Its definitely not dental related, I'm 29 year old female normal bmi, ive seen posts saying its anxiety related but ive been fine recently until this taste started!

Anyone had this before?

I don't know if its quite the same but during my current issues...for about a week every morning when I made myself a coffee..it tasted of salt. Nothing had changed, it wasn't from the dishwasher, there was nothing left on/in the cup, nothing in the kettle (My dad would have a drink at the same time and didn't taste anything weird). I certainly wasn't going mad, I was 100% putting sugar in the cup!

I have no idea what it was..and then it went!, annoying thing is the brain!

Hi! A salty taste in the mouth is probably the taste of small amounts of blood from a small, temporary lesion in the gum or cheek, like from brushing teeth a bit hard or any other ordinary cause. Often people talk about a metallic taste, but it can also taste like salt. A salty taste can also be caused by other harmless things like, dehydration (dry mouth), or increased mucus (allergies, cold or just randomly). Definitely not a warning sign for anything remotely serious. :)
(med student if that helps)
