I noticed some guys here getting sorta uptite about trolls and mistaking me for one becayse if my handle. Why anybody would want to troll on a kind helpful forum like here is beyond me. Anyway I thought I'd offer chief some ideas about getting rid of them, taken from other forums I been on before. One way is to make the posts invisibul pending being checked by a supervisor. That should give them the idea they ain't welcome. Another is to just click on the ignore button so you can't read what they write. I reckon a lot of them just do it because their attention seekers. If everyone does that then they should realize their being ignored unless their totally crazy. The most obvious way is to ban them and hope they don't come back under a new guise. If they do, just ban them again. Hope this helps.

Yeah thanks for reminding me bro. There is a fourth way you can stop the trolls. I got no ides how many people sign up every day - 2 or 3 maybe? There must be some way to check where they are signing in from. So if some guy says he is from Antarctica but is signing in from Scotland, you gotta expect their up to no good so you can just trash them. I guess its possible that you could be a Scottish guy on a ship or even working out there but how likely is that? But when Anxiety Zone was still up and running, a guy signed up from Antarctica and everyone gave him shit but he turned out to be a scientist from Denmark working at the research place they got there.
Not trivialising the 'trolling' issues, but I personally think this forum is a lot tamer than many others I've browsed over the years, especially those that have a no-holds-barred attitude to fully uncensored F and C-bombs.
But I guess there will always be the odd bad egg, no matter where we are.

Wasn't there someone by the username of Hollow who has sometimes been known to post rather provocative stuff on here?
Not sure as to whether or not he/she is banned though.

Yes there is a member called Hollow - he is not banned though but hasn't been on since February.
Charlie (if you are reading this), maybe find yourself a more productive hobby ? Your writing style and 'stamps of ownership' are far too obvious to allow you to troll for any length of time :yesyes:.

Good point. I would imagine there's not many Irish who would be signing in from another country :whistles:

I think he’s one of those people that just loves to rile people up on the internet. Maybe a boredom reliever for him...but unfortunate that it’s such a waste of time for Nic and the other admins.

There's a difference between having a little bicker or falling out with a forum member, and purposely going out of your way to rub everybody up the wrong way.
It puzzles my brain it does. There's so much better things you could spend your time doing.

Some people, sadly, haven't really got any better things to be doing with their time, but almost always be on a constant wind-up to others, especially online.
IMO it amounts to cyber-bullying.
If I ever quit my job teaching, I think I might become an online troll. How much does it pay?

Nailed it. For me a troll is somebody who posts with the intention of winding up other people, causing upset, making them angry etc. Posting controversial opinions is not a troll. We all know you're not a troll :p If you're a troll then I must be one too.
A troll can't back up what they're saying. "They open their and the words all gush out, step back from reality, oh there goes gravity ..." (sing that in an Eminem voice, from 8-mile)
