After suffering with rectal cancer fear for nearly 2 years I finally had a flexible sigmoidoscopy.
My symptoms were occasional red blood and I have had constipation in the past. Plus vague IBS symptoms.
I was so sure something would be found but it was clear. I asked for sedation and would recommend others do too as the pain was quite bad at one point but I’m sure it would have been much worse if I hadn’t been sedated.
It wasn’t the full colonoscopy but my symptoms could only really be attributed to something lower down.
Now to wait and see what the next big fear will be. I’m feeling very peaceful at the moment though
