Levator ani Syndrome

Just wondering if anyone else has this? I'd never heard of it until I developed the symptoms. A spasm in the pelvic floor muscles and causes pain that radiates through that area.

Almost all my health issues are due to anxiety and now I can add this to the list.

Mostly pain in my buttocks which is worst when sitting and aggravated by anxiety.

Yes I've had it. Have you been diagnosed with it by a colorectal doctor?

No I haven't been to a doctor. I'm fairly sure that's what I have. Interested to chat to others who've experienced it. How did you treat it? How long did it last?

It doesn't sound like what I had, Becky. It maybe best to see your doctor for an assessment?

Yeah until you're actually diagnosed with it, you don't have it.

Unfortunately, living in a rural area in South Africa, seeing a doctor is really difficult and expensive. Unless I feel it's an emergency I dont bother.
I'm no just googling randomly or feeding health anxiety.
I do seem to have all the symptoms described. Plus as I've had anxiety for over 25 years now I'm pretty familiar with my body and the symptoms that are caused by anxiety.
I really just wanted to see if anyone had similar symptoms and could share with me.
