Hi there, I'm a 22 year old woman that came across this site after reading an article about health anxiety relating to breast cancer due to Googling symptoms. I figured maybe I was being a bit of a hypochondriac but I saw a dermatologist about my concern the other day (a red mark on my left breast which has been there and growing over the past few weeks) and he wanted a biopsy done right away so I had one the other day. The results should come back within the next few weeks but I'm nervous and trying not to worry too much (but it's hard). I felt like joining this forum during this journey so I can hopefully feel less alone, have people to talk to, and to relieve my anxiety about this. I'll probably make a post about my results once I get them so if you want then stay tuned for the update!

Hi there,

I know only too well the agony of waiting for results. It's as bad as waiting for tests, or in my present case, to see a consultant. I have to wait 3 weeks, which given the pandemic and backlog of referrals in the UK NHS, isn't bad, but for me, 3 weeks is an eternity.
.
I have been a member here since 2013 when I was going through a similar HA episode, but I have only posted in the last few days. It is a very supportive environment.
I wish you well and look forward to your update
