Read this if you’re a chronic anxiety sufferer!! Hope this helps!!

So, you’ve had anxiety forever and a day, you’ve started to feel the wrath of this episode subside, you’re starting to think thoughts of things you love again, that feeling of doom and dark fades, and suddenly you start noticing the world around you again, the initial trigger doesn’t really seem to bother you, the physical symptoms have passed without you realising and then…….

boom …

you’re best pal Anxiety doesn’t want you to quit on your relationship and throws you another slap in the face, maybe it’s pain in your back, your aware of your heart, or you notice a shooting pain in your head…. you have a dizzy spell, Yeah cheers anxiety !!

…But then the insecurities flood in… ‘is it anxiety though?’, ‘Is it really bad this time?!’, ‘It must be terminal this time’.. And so that awful doom washes over you again!!!

We forget that our Nervous system is still probably on high alert and responds immediately or quicker than someone who doesn’t struggling with anxiety!! But this is just your brain reminding you to not let your guard down, just as you’ve trained it!! So be aware of these post anxiety symptoms, it’s your stroppy toddler of a nervous system throwing it’s toys out of the pram, because it wants you to be on guard, but if you are one up on it, then maybe you can break the cycle and distract it with something it loves, something happy, tell it can sit in naughty corner and move on with your day if you like haha, and maybe you won’t slip as often as you did before.
