Haven’t been on the forums in a long while, and hope you’re all keeping well.
Unfortunately, my dad had a colonoscopy recently which revealed seven polyps (all non-cancerous), although on the day of the procedure he told me 17 polyps. He’s 67, and his 74yo brother is in remission with bowel cancer.
So, cue the panic for me.
Have a colonoscopy this Saturday (odd day for it I know) but I’m riddled with anxiety that they’ll find cancer. I’ve had IBS symptoms for years (as detailed in previous posts) but unfortunately this family history of polyps/cancer only came to light in the last year or so.
Has anyone else been through this - with the family history and IBS symptoms - and not had anything scary?
