Hi! Last week the optician checked my eyes… They also took images of my eyes and dilated my pupils… They said that my vision has changed, and that I need new glasses… They also said that my vision on my left eye is better than my vision on my right eye… For the last couple of days, I’ve had blurry vision, a lot of floaters, felt like I can’t see on my left eye, can’t see words when reading, etc… What if they didn’t check my eyes properly? What if they missed something? What if I have a brain tumor? I can’t stop thinking about it, I think about my eyes every second of the day! I’m so scared I’ll lose my vision! What should I do? Should I get my eyes checked again?

What I did was talk to my optician and explain my anxiety, and they reassured me and explained things.

Everything you describe CAN DEFINITELY be related to anxiety, and there are quite a few threads on this forum about it. Have a look.

It's normal for vision to change. Mine got steadily worse for over half a century until I had cataract surgery and they replaced the lenses.

Definitely talk to them again, explain your fears, ask for reassurance. x
